Heather Maloney is an American singer-songwriter who has received numerous accolades for her startlingly soulful voice and literate songwriting exploring themes of spirituality, transformation, and impermanence. Critics are quickly discovering Maloney's talent with No Depression raving "Her music is riveting, her voice adventurous, her lyrics thought-provoking...” while Blurt Magazine wrote "Heather Maloney is one of the most talented tradition-based singer-songwriters I've heard in some time...the writing is stunning."
If there's a typical path to becoming a songwriter, Maloney didn't follow it. Although she went to school for music and had done plenty of singing, she only began writing tunes a few years ago after living and working for three years in a silent-retreat meditation center in central Massachusetts. “The biggest motivating factor in writing was probably the experiences that I was having here in my meditation practice,” she says. “There was the difficulty of it, the suffering of it, and wanting to channel that into something creative, and on the positive side, the insights that came out of my experiences.”
Maloney has had a breakout 2014, sharing stages with Anais Mitchell, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Lake Street Dive, Shakey Graves, and more. Her joint EP with indie-folk quartet Darlingside, the Woodstock EP, was released in March and gained national attention in the New York Times for their cover of Joni Mitchell's song “Woodstock.” Graham Nash (Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young) lauded the track during his keynote speech at Folk Alliance International, calling it “delicious, really excellent.”

Where can i park my car?
The Hawley Silk Mill and Cocoon parking areas are available for Harmony Presents attendees. There is plenty of parking space available for weekend and night time shows.

Is my ticket transferable?
Tickets may be given to others, but they should know the name of the original ticket buyer.
What is your refund policy?
Refunds will only be issued if a performer is unable to perform at our venue on the originally scheduled date.
What is your cancellation policy?
If a show must be cancelled, we will email and text/call all ticket buyers as soon as possible. Ticket buyers will be refunded.
Is a minimal age required to attend this event?
13 years, but we can sometimes make exceptions. Please contact jill@silkmillharmony.com if you are interested in bringing a younger person.
May I bring my own beer/wine/alcoholic beverage?
Our shows are not BYOB. Cocoon Catering Company sells wine, beer and some mixed drink options at the shows as well as snacks during performances. Other non-performance events may be BYOB, but this will be clearly stated in the event description.
